About Me

Hello. I’m Katie.

I’m an avid learner of new things, which has led me to consider career paths from teaching high school Spanish to moving to Manhattan to be a bohemian writer/musician and everything in between. Somewhere in there I settled on figuring it out as I go along, which has proven to be both satisfying and fun. In the meantime I’ve managed to work in retail, marketing, and fitness instruction–all while working towards various degrees. Currently, I’m in pursuit of my Master’s in counseling.

I’m on the fringes of delving into freelance design and writing of various sorts to see where that might take me. I’ve a knack for layout and an affinity for words, so it only seemed to follow that leaving my desk job as a marketing assistant would eventually lead to the seeking of freelance work.

In my, uh, spare time, I climb rocks, jump out of planes, read a lot, try to like running, knit scarves, and dream about all of the places I’ve visited and would like to visit.
